Helping Hands' own Hung Nguyen is an accomplished professional chef, having helped to open Maguire's North Dallas, Nikita, Dragonfly at Hotel Zaza (where he got the opportunity to cook at the James Beard House in NYC ), Ferre-Ft. Worth, Victory Tavern, and Kenichi Dallas. Hung was also Consulting Chef and Sushi Chef at Steel.
Here he leads a hands-on,"Sushi Basics", eat-what-you-make class at the home of Helping Hands member Cathy V.
The event raised several hundred dollars for The Family Place.
